Global Design Project 099 | Theme Challenge

Thursday 10 August 2017

Hello and welcome to my blog - thanks so much for stopping by! My card today is for the latest challenge over at the Global Design Project. This week's challenge is a Wedding/Anniversary theme.

One of the benefits of being a Stampin' Up!® demonstrator is that you are able to order products early - I still get excited when a big brown box is delivered to my door!

The wedding/anniversary challenge immediately made me think of the new "Year of Cheer Specialty Designer Series Paper" in the 2017 Holiday Catalogue (Sales Period starts 1 September 2017)! As this DSP has such a cute design I didn't want to cover it up so I kept my sentiment and embellishments small.

The Silver Foil Heart is from the Mini Treat Bag Thinlits and co-ordinates perfectly with this DSP.

I added a twist of Silver Metallic Thread, Silver Mini Sequin Trim and a piece of Pool Party Shimmer Ribbon. The DSP has been layered on a piece of the Silver Foil Sheet too! "Oh happy day" is from the Happiest of Days stamp set and is embossed in the Silver Emboss Powder.

I think this card could be either a wedding or anniversary card.

Tip: To keep the Sequin from falling off the end of the cotton when you cut it, drop a little of the Multipurpose Liquid Glue onto it - it dries clear so it won't be seen!

If you are looking for Wedding/Anniversary ideas then pop over to the Global Design Project blog - there'll be lots of inspiration there!

See you soon.
