Global Design Project 106 | Sketch Challenge

Friday 29 September 2017     Hello and welcome to my blog - thanks so much for stopping by! My card today is for the latest challenge over at the Global Design Project. This week's challenge is a Sketch challenge.     Sketch challenges are my favourite and I particularly like this layout - I'll definitely be adding it to my Sketch Layout File!   I made this card with a very special person in mind. She has been coming to me as a beauty therapy client for a number of years and we have become great friends. Her joie de vivre is such an inspiration and I'm in awe of her wisdom and kindness. Here's what I used for my card - the gorgeous background paper in Soft Sky is from the Coffee Break Designer Series Paper and it goes perfectly with Berry Burst, Lemon Lime Twist and Night of Navy. The "80" is lighter as I stamped it off first.  The "80" and "Happy Birthday" are both from the Number of Years stamp set.   ...

Ink & Inspiration Blog Hop

Thursday 28 September 2017 Welcome to the Ink & Inspiration Blog Hop for September. You are currently visiting Angela Meiritz-Reid from Christchurch, New Zealand. The theme this month is Wedding/Anniversary. Please hop around the list at the bottom to check out all the wonderful projects created this month.   The Cheers to the Year stamp set from the Holiday Catalogue is perfect for a wedding card especially when teamed with the co-ordinating Year of Cheer Specialty DSP. The White Embossing Paste design makes a great backdrop for all the silver embellishments.     The silver embellishments consist of Mini Sequin Trim, Foil Sheets, Metallic Thread, Embossing Powder and a Faceted Gem. The heart comes from the Mini Treat Bag Thinlits.     "And so your story begins" also from the Cheers to the Year stamp set is embossed in Silver, and a strip of Year of Cheer Specialty DSP and Silver Foil decorate the inside of my card. ...

CASEing the Catty #147 Christmas Around the World

Sunday 24 September 2017 Welcome to this week's CASEing the Catty Blog Hop. Today my card is from the Christmas Around the World section (pages 28-35) of the Holiday Catalogue. You may be starting here or hopping over from  Alisa Tilsner . The next button at the bottom of the post will take you around the hop - you won't want to miss any!   I've CASED both these cute little cards - I'm in a mini card making phase at the moment! It's because I love the new Mini Pizza Boxes and any excuse to make cards to go in then.     Both cards have been made using the "Cheers to the Year" stamp set.   I stamped the tiny stars in Pool Party onto a Pool Party card base, then white embossed the "sparkly" image onto Basic Grey cardstock. Season's Greetings is stamped in Night of Navy on a 3.5cm circle and layered on top of the Basic Grey 5.5cm circle with Night of Navy Crinkled Seam Binding Ribbon and Silver Mini Sequin Trim s...

Global Design Project 105 | Colour Challenge

Monday 18 September 2017     I am so excited to be the Guest Designer on the Global Design Project for this week's Colour Challenge. It was such an honour to have my card picked. These are this week's colours:     I was so pleased when I saw these colours as so they're lovely!!! And here's my card using this week's gorgeous colours - Peekaboo Peach, Tangerine Tango and Lemon Lime Twist.      The moment I saw the colours I thought of the Lemon Zest stamp set - it's my new favourite! The Lemon Lime Twist DSP on the base of my card is from the Eastern Palace Specialty Designer Series Paper Pack - it looks so fresh and clean. I stamped the image with Peekaboo Peach first then rolled the edges on the Tangerine Tango stamp pad. The leaves have been stamped with Lemon Lime Twist. The banner is made using the Banner Triple Punch and then embossed with the Polka Dot Basics folder.     A piece of Basic Black t...

CASEing the Catty #146 Season of Glitz

Sunday 17 September 2017 Welcome to this week's CASEing the Catty Blog Hop. Today my card is from the Season of Glitz section (pages 20-27) of the new Holiday Catalogue.     You may be starting here or hopping over from Julia Quinn , isn't her card gorgeous? My card is CASED from the little one in the middle! I thought it would make a perfect 3" x 3" card to fit in the new Mini Pizza Boxes. I also wanted to make customer thank you cards so half my work was done I just needed to come up with a design. The Powder Pink spotted paper on the card base is from the Whole Lot of Lovely Designer Series Paper and I've co-ordinated it with Flirty Flamingo and Pear Pizzazz. The Flirty Flamingo and Whisper White Baker's twine ties a perfect bow every time! The "thanks" stamp is from the Weather Together stamp set - I love the font! And the square is from the Stitched Shaped Framelits.   Next on the blog hop is the very talented Rac...

Global Design Project 104 | CASE the Designer

Friday 15 September 2017     Welcome to my blog! Today I'm sharing the card I made for this week's Global Design Project #104 CASE the Designer - Allison Okamitsu. I'm lucky enough to be on the All Star Tutorial Bundle Team with Allison and she is amazing!   In CASEing Allison's card I decided to follow her layout. I love the repeat stamping in the background - it makes a perfect backdrop!      The Lemon Zest stamp set has some quirky sayings in gorgeous fonts and as I love lemons I had to get this set! (I could probably justify every stamp set in the catalogue!)     It's my husband's birthday next month and this is the perfect card for him!    And a little bit of the outside on the inside! Have a great weekend - yes it's Friday already here in the South Pacific!

CASEing the Catty #145 Merry Little Christmas

Sunday 10 September 2017   Welcome to this week's CASEing the Catty Blog Hop. This week we are CASEing the Merry Little Christmas Suite (pg 10-19) of the Holiday Catalogue.        You may be starting here or hopping over from our Guest Designer this week Siobhan Fitzsimmons , it’s lovely to have you hopping with us!     I've chosen to CASE the card at the bottom of this page. I love this new Merry Little Christmas Designer Series Paper - to me it's a bit non-traditional with the black but I think it's striking and makes such a bold statement.   I loved this Season to Sparkle stamp set the moment I saw it. There are so many possibilities with all the cute little images and sentiments that go with this chandelier I can't wait to play with it some more!   How cute is that little Old Olive enamel star? It co-ordinates perfectly with the Merry Little Christmas DSP. Stampin' Up!® certainly mak...

Global Design Project 103 | Theme Challenge

Friday 8 September 2017 Welcome to my blog! Today I'm sharing the card I made for this week's Global Design Project #103 Theme Challenge : For Him! It's my husband's birthday next month so I'm pleased to have made this card for him and now feel very organised for once! He loves coffee so this Coffee Break DSP is perfect.   I fussy cut the takeaway coffee cup, plunger and cup from the Designer Series Paper. I love papers like this - and as you know I'm a happy little fussy cutter.     Make sure you head on over to the Global Design Project blog to check out all the male cards this week - lots of fabulous ideas from the team and all the entries.   I hope you have a lovely weekend. CASEing the Catty #144 Quilted Christmas

Sunday 3 September 2017   Welcome to this week's CASEing the Catty Blog Hop. Today my card is from the Quilled Christmas section (pages 4-9) of the new Holiday Catalogue.   This week I've chosen to CASE the card on the left hand side with the little cotton reels on it. The wreath and sentiment are from the "Feeling of Christmas" stamp set (pg 16 of the Holiday Catalogue). The sentiment was in a block but I wanted it to go across so I did a bit of blocking out to get it in a row. The Be Merry Designer Series Paper is from the Annual Catalogue. I coloured the wreath in using the co-ordinating colours of Cherry Cobbler and Garden Green. And I love how the doily pokes out just a little bit at each end of the wreath! Enjoy the blog hop - there are lots of fabulous projects to inspire and admire! Next on the blog hop is the very talented Krissy. And as always we'd love you to play along, you can join the challenge here:  Have a fab...
