Hello and welcome to this week's CASEing the Catty Blog Hop. This week we are CASEing the Sweet Soiree Suite on pages 10-14.
This is a gorgeous suite full of pretty colours, designs and accessories.
For this week's CASE I've picked the Marina Mist floral card on the right hand side.
The card in the catalogue was made using the Sweet Soirée Embellishment Kit and as I don't yet have this kit I had to improvise. So starting from the base up here's what I used:
- The scalloped edge used the Scalloped Velvet Ribbon - I used a thinlits die from the Petals & More Thinlits Die. I had to play around with this to keep it in a continual strip. I then added the Silver Mini Sequin Trim and Silver Baker's Twine;
- I didn't have a stamp that I liked as much to create the sprigs stamped in Versamark on the card base so I cut some in vellum from the Petals & More Thinlits Dies;
- the flowers have been fussy cut from the Sweet Soirée Specialty Designer Series Paper; and
- the sentiment is from the Perennial Birthday stamp set - this is one of my favourite sets!
It was a bit fiddly doing it this way but I got there in the end! I'll definitely be adding that Sweet Soirée Embellishment Kit to my next order!
We would love you to join us with your CASE this week, using our Facebook group. Click on the image below to go there. For the first time you'll need to click on the "Join Group" button at the top. After you're added you can post your creation and you don't need to have a blog.
Thanks so much for stopping by and enjoy the hop! Next up is my talented friend Kelly - just click on the Next blog button below.
I love how you were able to substitute all the items from the kit. Looks lovely!
