INK IT! STAMP IT! CHRISTMAS THEME!

Welcome to the Ink It! Stamp It! Design Team Blog Hop. You may have arrived from my lovely and talented friend Eva Dobilas from Canada. If you are starting here please see the complete list at the bottom of this post which will guide you through all the inspiration projects the team has to share.

The theme for this hop is "Christmas" and as I'm trying to be organised this year I've made a start on my cards!

The Wrapped in Plaid Specialty Designer Series Paper was the inspiration for my design, I love the classic colours! The splatter has been created with ink being flicked on using an Aqua Painter  - you dip the brush of the Aqua Painter in Night of Navy ink then flick it on its lid onto the paper! It's lots of fun, just watch out for your off-white walls, which may or may not now be splattered in ink!!!

The wreath has been die cut in Vellum and Shaded Spruce Cardstock and layered up. I've cut a small segment out and glued it back together to create a slightly smaller wreath.

"Christmas" has been embossed with White Emboss Powder from the Tidings All Around Stamp Set - I cut off the "Cheer"!

The Holiday Rhinestone Basic Jewels co-ordinate perfectly with the DSP and I love how using the different coloured Rhinestones brings out the colours in the DSP.

Thanks for joining me tonight! Remember to keep hopping for more great projects and Christmas inspiration!

  4. Gorgeous card Angela, and I love the tip about snipping out a piece of the die cut to make a smaller wreath.

  5. I just love this! Since living in Paris 20 years ago deep blue with metallics has become a firm favourite of mine. Now you've tied it to my other home, Scotland in this beautiful card. Love, love, love!
