Welcome to the Ink It! Stamp It! Design Team Blog Hop. You may have arrived from my lovely and talented friend Kirsten Aitchison from Australia. If you are starting here please see the complete list at the bottom of this post which will guide you through all the creative projects the team has to share.
The theme for this hop is "Birthdays" and the Happy Birthday to You Stamp Set in the Sale-A-Bration catalogue is perfect for creating a birthday card.
I love water-colouring and after seeing my gorgeous friend Sylwia Schreck water-colour using markers I decided to try it. Usually I dip my Aqua Painter in the ink but using the markers is much quicker as there is less water (well when I water-colour!) so it dries faster and the depth of the colour isn't washed away!
Teamed with my other favourite mediums - paste, metallic thread, vellum and sequin, I'm in my happy place!
I created a little gift tag too, using all the same elements and added a strip of paper from the Peaceful Poppies Designer Series Paper.
I love the co-ordinating Birthday Dies - they make life much easier and there are some cute extra dies in the set too!
The Shimmery White Embossing Paste adds a lovely little sparkle to your project!
Thanks so much for stopping by - it's so lovely to have you here!
Please keep hopping for more great projects celebrating Birthdays!

DeleteThis card is absolutely stunning! I found your blog on the Social Stamping hop (what a great idea... more card inspiration during this crazy time of covid quarantining). We’re ‘sheltering at home’ here in northern Minnesota, like the rest of the world, and with the addition of six more inches of snow last night what better thing to do but cozy up in my craft room to make cards! So I’ve been looking through your previous posts, getting lots of ideas. Your card-making style is lovely!
ReplyDeleteThanks Barb x
