Hello and welcome to this Social Stamping Blog Host created by the fabulous Kelly Kent. Kelly wanted to give us a platform to share our creations due to the world being in various stages of social distancing and isolation. You may have arrived from my gorgeous friend Lou Kitzelman, or if you are starting here please be sure to hop all the way around, you won't want to miss any of the lovely projects everyone has to share.
The theme for today is "thank you"! Here in Christchurch, New Zealand we are currently in day 10 of a 28 day lockdown. We are so fortunate to have people working in essential services keeping our country going and to these amazing people thank you! We really are very appreciative of everything you are doing for us.
I am enjoying the time to experiment with ideas. For this card, I masked off an area on a piece of Whisper White Cardstock and stamped images from the Beautiful Friendship Stamp Set in Blueberry Bushel. Then using a Blender Pen, I dipped it into some Versamark Ink and added it to areas of the stamped images. I coated the Versamark Ink with Gold Emboss Powder and heat embossed it to create these touches of gold.
To complement the gold embossing on the floral images, I also embossed "thank you" from the Free as a Bird Stamp Set.
I'd like to make a pile of these to keep in my bag so when I'm out getting "essential supplies" I can give them out to let people know how much we appreciate them.
I hope wherever you are in the world you are keeping well and staying safe in your little bubble!
Thanks so much for stopping by and enjoy the hop - Kia Kaha!

So bold, so amazing! Here's hoping your lockdown ends at 28 days. It's very hard to keep going without knowing when we'll get our old normal back (though I suspect it'll never be the same again!). Kelly x
Angela thats just gorgeous. I love the monotone stamping and the masking. What a lovely idea to carry them out with you. I had never thought of using a blender pen and the versamark ink - genius! I'll have to try that. Take care, we were supposed to be in NZ this week - maybe next year!
