Hello and welcome to today's Social Stamping Blog Host! We are a group of Stampin' Up! demonstrators brought together by the very lovely and talented Kelly Kent. For the last seven weeks, we have been sharing our creations as a means of bringing us together due to the world being in various stages of social distancing and isolation. You may have arrived here from seeing Leonie Stuart's fabulous creation, or if you are starting here please be sure to hop around everyone, you won't want to miss any of the inspiring projects everyone has to share.
The theme for this blog hop is "Family" and with Mother's Day here in New Zealand tomorrow I thought it was perfectly timed to create a Mother's Day card.
The flowers in Floral Essence were used to create this bright and cheery bouquet for my Mother's Day card. I layered them up on some Granny Apple Green leaves and sprigs die cut in Gold Glimmer Paper from the Mini Curvy Keepsake Box Dies.
Balmy Blue has been sponged on the background and then embossed with the Subtle Embossing Folder.
"Happy Mother's Day" is from the Timeless Tulips and has been gold embossed and fussy cut. I've added some of the gold Metallic Pearls and Crinkled Seam Binding Ribbon.
I'm looking forward to seeing my Mother tomorrow for a cup of tea, even if it is across the deck. For the last 20 plus years we have spent Wednesdays together but sadly not for the last several weeks, although I have been doing her grocery shopping! I'm looking forward to getting back to our "normal" Wednesdays together!
Next up in today's hop is the talented Chantell Randall, please click on the next button below to continue on the hop!
Love all the little details on your card. The sponged and embossed background is so beautiful and really sets off those gorgeous fussy cut flowers! So many gorgeous details.
These flowers are just stunning, Angela. So bright and cheery - I'm sure they will make your mother smile. Tea across the deck still sounds pretty special. I love the extra touch of the balmy blue behind the flower cluster, it adds just the right touch of depth and interest and really makes the flowers pop even more.
Absolutely stunning Angela! I love bold colours against the white background. So glad we're not losing the Subtle Embossing Folder - I think I'd cry! Happy Mother's Day! Kelly x
I love all the colours you have used on your card Angela! The subtle embossing folder is the perfect background too. Your catch ups with your Mum sound very similar to mine the last 2 months. I hope you both enjoyed your Mother's Day together. :)
